The Forbes Magazine released the list of the top earning models in the world. Gisele Bundchen, from Brazil, once again topped the list. She earned $25 million over the period from June 2008 to June 2009. Heidi Klum’s name appeared on the second place; she earned $9 million less than Gisele did.
Kate Moss concluded the top-three leaders. Her total income over the last year was $8.5 million. Sales from Moss’s collection for the Topshop brand contributed significant amount to this sum.
The list of the top 10 earning models, according to Forbes, is as follows:
- Gisele Bundchen – $25 million
- Heidi Klum – $16 million
- Kate Moss – $8.5 million
- Adriana Lima – $8 million
- Doutzen Kroes – $6 million
- Alessandra Ambrosio – $6 million
- Natalia Vodianova – $5.5 million
- Daria Werbowy – $4.5 million
- Miranda Kerr – $3 million
- Carolyn Murphy – $3 million.
Interesting enough, Kate Moss was the model who surely was not hit by the financial crisis. She was one of the few models whose income increased by $1 million.
Those who do promotional modeling may not earn as much as the world’s highest paid supermodels, but they earn a decent living nonetheless.
